What Infotrain offersWe provide specialist training for the advice sector on:
Our training can be provided as face-to-face training, as part of an online programme, or in blended learning packages. Our training on advice work skills can be linked to an NVQ in Advice and Guidance programme through our partnership with Quality Development Services (QDS). Examples of our workBedford Advice Forum - We organise regular training programmes for BAF. This involves designing and distributing publicity materials, arranging trainers and venues, administering the booking system for courses, and completing evaluation reports. Infotrain provides a trainer for certain courses on the BAF programme e.g. Introduction to Benefits. Citizens Advice - As part of an on-going contract we provide training on the Citizens Advice Certificate Programme for new advisers. This nationally accredited programme provides 4 days of training which cover the client interview process and interviewing skills for advisers. Institute of Advisers - We worked with the Institute, in a partnership project with Chesterfield CAB, to develop a series of online tutor training courses that were accredited with the Open College Network (OCN). The courses on this ESF funded project were designed to help local voluntary and paid advice workers to train to become tutors in the advice sector - both as face-to-face trainers and online trainers. Within the programme we were involved in developing and tutoring the courses on “Tutor Training for Advisers ” and “Online Tutoring Skills for Advice Courses”. Key benefits of using Infotrain
